TRAVELING TO CUA

  • GPS ADDRESS: McMahon Hall, Washington, DC 20064
    (This will take you to the McMahon Parking Lot - in front of the Pyrzbyla University Center where registration is taking place)

The Washington area is served by three airports:

  • Washington National Airport (DCA) is the closest airport to CUA.
    Upon arrival visitors can take a taxi, Metrorail or rental car to reach campus.
    Metrorail is the fastest and easiest way to reach campus. Take Metro's YELLOW LINE to the Gallery Place/Chinatown station, transfer to the RED LINE, in the direction of Glenmont, and arrive at the Brookland-CUA metro stop. Metrorail travel time is approximately 30 minutes from DCA to Brookland-CUA.
    Taxis from National to CUA are also available with an approximate travel time of 20 minutes. GPS Address: McMahon Hall, Washington, DC 20064.

  • Baltimore / Washington International Airport (BWI) is accessible to the CUA campus by taking an AMTRAK train (on the weekend) or MARC train (on weekdays) to UNION STATION and transfer to Metrorail's RED LINE in the direction of Glenmont.
    The Super Shuttle is another way to access CUA from BWI. The shuttle takes you from the terminal and delivers you to the Catholic University campus in about 45 minutes.
    Taxis from BWI to CUA are readily available with a travel time of approximately 45 minutes. GPS Address: McMahon Hall, Washington, DC 20064.

  • Dulles International Airport (IAD)
    Washington Flyer Coach Service is an affordable and expedient way to travel from Dulles to Washington. Leaving every 30 minutes, Washington Flyer coaches deliver visitors to the West Falls Church Metro Station on the ORANGE LINE. Take Metrorail towards New Carollton and connect to the RED LINE at the Metro Center station. Continue on the Metro to the Brookland/CUA station. The trip from Dulles to CUA via Washington Flyer and Metrorail is approximately 70 minutes.
    The Super Shuttle is a convenient way to access CUA from Dulles. Picking you up at the terminal, the shuttle delivers you to Catholic University in about an hour.
    Taxis are also available. Travel time to the CUA campus is about 50 minutes. GPS Address: McMahon Hall, Washington, DC 20064.

AM2017 MetroLogo    The Catholic University of America campus is at the BROOKLAND - CUA stop on Metrorail's RED LINE.
Exiting the BROOKLAND - CUA Metro Station:
Turn left after exiting the turnstiles. Go up the escalator/stairs and follow pathway across John McCormack Drive, NW on to the CUA campus.

ARRIVING AT CUA

  • Check in
    Registration packets, parking passes, sleeping room assignments and keys may be picked up (and keys returned) at the Pryzbyla University Center (E12 on the Campus Map):

  • Late arrivals: If your travel plans get you to Catholic University after 8:00 PM, please give advance notice to the CBA Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so that arrangements may be made to have you access your room. If a late arrival is due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., bad weather, delayed flight) late arrivals, call or text Joe Atkinson at 301-928-4776. Messages can be left.

  • Parking
    • Pryzbyla University Center - closest parking is McMahon Parking Lot (C12 on the Campus Map). For GPS, type: McMahon Parking, Washington, DC 20064.

  • CBA Registration & Information Desk will be located on the second floor (entrance level if entering from the front).
  • Book Displays/Exhibits will be located on the third floor, Great Room. Click here for more information.
  • Plenary Sessions will be located on the third floor, Great Room.
  • The Museum of the Bible Display will be located on the third floor, Great Room.
  • Meals will be located in the Student Restaurant on the third floor. Those without meal plans may purchase à la carte from the Food Court on the second floor.
  • Socials and Coffee Breaks will be located in the Atrium on the third floor.

  • Opus Hall offers suite-style living arrangements for upper-class residents.
  • Each 5-person suite in Opus has 3 single rooms and 1 double room.
  • Each unit has a shared private bath and living room.
  • Each floor has a lounge with cable TV, dining, and kitchen facilities; elevator; wireless internet access; laundry, study room, Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, and additional lounge with cable TV on the ground floor.
  • Each guest receives a blanket, flat sheet, fitted sheet, pillow case, disposable pillow, cup, soap.

The meal plan begins with Dinner on SATURDAY, AUGUST 5. 
Meals will be at The Student Restaurant, third floor of the Pryzbyla University Center (E12 on the Campus Map)

Those without meal plans may purchase à la carte from the Food Court and Student Restaurant in the Pryzbyla University Center.
